Increased uptake of tuition and learning support is attributed to the improving exam success at both P1 Governance,Risk and Ethics and P3 Business Analysis results,which is contributing to the continuing positive trend in the number of students completing the examination element of the qualification.

　　Reacting to the latest exam results success,ACCA’s Alan Hatfield,executive director strategy and development said:

　　‘We are pleased with our latest exam results Affiliate numbers remain very strong,with close to 5,900 new affiliates completing their exams this session.Currently,our affiliate number stands at a total of 9,385,which is 3%up this half year compared to the latter half of 2016.

　　We’ve also seen a growing number of students taking CBE session-based exams which are designed to reflect the real world skills required by employers.We are delighted to say that three of the five prize-winners at Skills from the March 2017 exam session did CBE.

　　‘What’s becoming increasingly clear is that when students access and use the right learning support–especially blended options combining learning provider courses with ACCA’s own resources across all levels of the syllabus–pass rates get stronger.So it’s also really pleasing to see this especially impacting P1 and P3 results,due to the tuition providers’commitment to help students complete these two exams before the introduction of Strategic Business Leader,our new substantive integrated case study exam,in September 2018.’

　　135,259 students around the world entered the exam sitting,which saw a total of 186,011 exams taken and 5,853 students complete their final exams on the path to becoming ACCA members.
